Founding member Al Jardine with personal words
Al Jardine, one of the founding members of the Beach Boys, published a very personal message in addition to the band statement. “Brian Wilson, my friend, my classmate, my football teammate, my beach boy bandmate and my brother in spirit, I will always feel blessed that you were in our lives for so long,” said Jardine on Instagram.
Jardine also alluded to the late Wilson brothers: “I think the most comforting thought at the moment is that you are now reunited with Carl and Dennis and that these beautiful harmonies sing again.” Carl Wilson died in 1998, Dennis Wilson as early as 1983.

Celebrities appreciated musical heritage
Other celebrities also paid tribute after the death message. Elton John said on Instagram that Wilson was “the greatest influence on my songwriting at all”. Actor John Stamos, who had performed several times with the Beach Boys, praised Wilson as “gentle, funny, complex, beautiful man”.
Brian Wilson founded the band The Beach Boys together with his brothers Dennis and Carl Wilson, her cousin Mike Love and school friend Alan Jardine in California. He was the songwriter and co-lead singer, played bass guitar and keyboard. With the band he celebrated successes such as “Surfin ‘USA”, “wouldn’t it be nice”, “Good Vibrations” or “California Dreamin'”. The Beach Boys are one of the most successful pop bands of the sixties and early seventies.
