The baptism of Princess Ines takes place in Sweden. The royal family has now announced the sponsors: the 13-year-old Princess Estelle comes first.

On June 13, 2025, Princess Ines, the four -month -old daughter of Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia. The Swedish royal family now has the day before. Princess Estelle is at the top of the list. The 13-year-old is the daughter of Crown Princess Victoria and her husband, Prince Daniel.

The fact that the future heir to the throne of all people was appointed a godmother of the baptism confirms the close relationship between Carl Philip and his older sister Victoria. At Estelle’s own baptism, Carl Philip took over the sponsorship for his niece – now she is retreating with his daughter.

Baptism and wedding day at the Swedish Royals

In addition to Princess Estelle, four people from the closest circle of friends of the Prince couple Ines’ sponsorship will take over: Fredrik von der Esch, sponsor of Queen Silvia and Enger confidant Carl Philips, Claes Kockum, a friend of the prince and his wife Sandrine Kockum. Tiara Larsson, the 23-year-old daughter of Princess Sofia’s youth friend Cajsa Larsson, acts as fifth godmother.

Ines Marie Lilian Silvia, as the little princess is called with a full name, is baptized on June 13th at 12 noon in the Drottningholm Castle Church. The date is particularly for her parents: Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary on the same day. The whole Swedish royal family and other Royals are expected at the event.

Ines was born on February 7 as the fourth child of her parents: her big siblings are Prince Alexander, Prince Gabriel and Prince Julian. As the granddaughter of Queen Silvia and King Carl Gustaf, she is behind Aunt Victoria and her children as well as her father and brothers eighth in the Swedish succession.
