Do you sneak into the living room of the spectators in “Full House”? A television is like a “portal”, says Candace Cameron Bure.
The popular family sitcom “Full House” was easy entertainment for young and old. Serial actress Candace Cameron Bure (49) doesn’t seem to be able to get into the house anymore: According to her explanations in the “portal”, scary films could open creepy films to a dark world, to something “demonic”.
The television is “the portal” for you
In the current episode of her podcast, the “Full House” actress explains that her family sometimes “makes fun of her” when she talks about “spiritual things”. One topic in which her husband and three children would roll with her eyes is the television that Bure also calls “the portal”.
“If you look at something or play this video game or whatever, it is a portal through which things could get into our house,” says the actress. So she doesn’t want someone to watch a scary film in her house: “For me it is just a portal.”
The actress herself would best know how much reality is behind a series or a film. In eight seasons from 1987 to 1995 she was part of the internationally successful sitcom “Full House”, Bure played teen daughter DJ Tanner in the nineties. The American recently stood on the film set for the television films “Ainsley McGregor Mysteries: A Case for the Winemaker” and “Home Sweet Christmas”.
There can be something demonic behind filming
“I am part of the film industry,” continues Bure. “I understand how everything works,” she justifies herself. “I know that a film has a crew of 200 people who illuminate the ones who add sound effects, make-up, camera, extras and actors. But there is still something that can be incredibly demonic while doing their work.”
