Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher: Your divorce is official

One year after the separation, it is now official: Sacha Baron Cohen (53) and Isla Fisher (49) are divorced. In a common statement, the British comedian and the Australian actress confirmed on Friday that the divorce is now final.

“Our divorce has been completed. We are proud of everything we have achieved together and remain in mutual respect. We continue to work together and are committed to the well -being of our wonderful children,” they wrote. In addition, both asked for the protection of the privacy of the children.

In April 2024, Baron Cohen and Fisher had made it public that after 20 years of relationship and 13 years of marriage had already submitted divorce in 2023. At the time, it was said in a humorously kept statement: “After a long tennis match that lasted over twenty years, we finally put down the rackets.”

The two drama stars met in 2001 and said yes in 2010. Together they have three children who keep them out of the public. “We have always prioritized our privacy and have been working on this change in silence for some time,” the statement said.

Most recently, there had been reports that their mutual divorce could take an unsightly turn because they had to split their assets of the equivalent of around 70.5 million euros. Sources from the actor’s environment claim that it was “war” and “every remaining appearance of courtesy has disappeared” after Fisher talked about how she deals with the separation.

In February, Fisher said about the challenges of her new phase of life: “It was the most difficult thing I’ve ever done. But I learned a lot about myself in this process. I never thought that my family would part, but we are committed and loving parents.”

Baron Cohen commented on the fact that the former partners are closely close to despite separation: After Fisher, a picture of a shoot, commented: “
