Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan make changes to their team again. Again four employees left the couple.
Prince Harry (40) and Duchess Meghan (43) apparently go through an internal restructuring of their team again. , four employees recently separated from the ducal couple – including both team members from the USA and Great Britain.
Great fluctuation among employees
The change of personnel follows the appointment of Meredith Maines as the first Chief Communications Officer of the two. Maines brings extensive experience from her time on Google, Hulu and “American Idol” and is intended to reorganize the communication strategy of the Sussexes. Most recently, Meghan had also hired Bill Gates’ former assistant Sarah Fosmo as her first Chief of Staff.
Previously, Emily Robinson led communication, supported by an external team. Ashley Hansen, former global press spokeswoman and head of communication, also left the team last year to found their own PR company – with Harry and Meghan as clients.
According to “Deadline”, the recently eliminated employees include deputy press spokesman Kyle Boulia and the British Press Officer Charlie Gipson. Both were only brought to the team in March 2024.
Personnel changes once again make a highlight of the high fluctuation in the couple’s surroundings. Since their retreat from the British royal family in spring 2020, according to reports, at least 22 employees are said to have left the team – six of them in the past two months alone.
Strategy or argument?
Already during the time of the Sussexes in Great Britain, when the two royals were still working, there were always internal problems with their employees. It remains unclear whether the current restructuring is part of a long -term strategy or expression of internal tensions. However, it is clear that Harry and Meghan continue to rely on new heads to strengthen their brand in the media and entertainment world.
