Sangria -bucket and sun: The Ballermann moved to Oberhausen at the weekend – including the Playa party hits and stars like Mickie Krause.
“Call the Doc, I have island fever,” says a popular Ballermann song by Julian Sommer and Frenzy. Accordingly, numerous doctors should have been called to Oberhausen on Saturday.
There in the Ruhr area, tens of thousands celebrated the largest Mallorca party in Germany at over 30 degrees: “Inselfieber”.
“Here the Mallorca feeling can be felt on a thousand percent, only shipped to Germany. And that makes this event so special,” said singer and moderator Frenzy (“Lamps to”) of the German Press Agency. On the outdoor area of the Rudolf-Weber-Arena, not far from the Rhein-Herne Canal and the large shopping center Westfield Centro, dozens of artists appeared on two stages for over ten hours, who are otherwise at home in the “Bierkönig” and “Megapark in El Arenal.
Among them were Mickie Krause (“one week awake”), Mia Julia (“The train has no brake”), Lorenz buffalo, (“Johnny Däpp”), isi Glück (“dolphin”), Julian Sommer (“Close to the plane”) or Marc Eggers (“Oberter”).
However, some of the 35,000 Ballermann fans troubled the heat in combination with beer and sangria – the paramedics were in constant use despite free water.
