Prince Louis, Princess Charlotte and Prince George drew everyone at the “Trooping the Color” parade and there were sibling moments worth seeing.
With charm, small gestures and childlike playback, the three mini-royals at the “Trooping The Color” parade 2025 again demonstrated: The future of the British monarchy not only has shine, but heart.
While the royal carriage rolled over the sunlit mall under the jubilation of the masses, Prince Louis, seven years old, is said to have asked something eleven years old, according to a lip reader of the British magazine “Sun”: “Should I wave?” George replied dryly, but in a good mood: “As you want – I can’t believe how sunny it is.” Then Louis with a smile: “Then we’ll do it together!” Together, the two brothers waved the crowd – one of many sibling moments on Saturday in London.

While the boys provided happiness, Charlotte once again showed her sense of dignity and meaning. In a turquoise dress with a white detail, she wore a diamond horseshoe brooch, which once belonged to her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. The brooch-a gift from the late monarch to her great-granddaughter-was already wearing Charlotte, ten years old, to the funeral of her “Gan Gan”. Her decision to wear this piece of jewelry again for the grandfather’s birthday parade was a quiet, touching tribute to the queen and her love for horses.
Kate, the Princess of Wales, also chose a ensemble matched to Charlotte’s outfit – a visible sign of the connection between mother and daughter and also a moment of pause, because her late mother -in -law, princess Diana, also wore this color in 1988.
King Charles III. led the parade
While King Charles III. Together with Queen Camilla in a carriage, Prince William – in the uniform of the Welsh Guards – rode at the head of the military promotion. Next to him his aunt, Princess Anne, for the first time back to Ross since her head injury last year, and Prince Edward.
“Trooping the Color” is the traditional military parade for the official birthday of the British monarch, which goes back to the 17th century. Thousands of spectators lined the streets, defied the early rain and cheered when the royal family passed. The day was also overshadowed by tragedy: in memory of the victims of Air India’s aircraft accident, some black mourning bands wore. At the beginning of the ceremony, King Charles had a minute’s silence – a quiet act of solidarity.
As every year, the day ended with the famous balcony appearance at Buckingham Palast. King Charles and Queen Camilla were in the center, flanked by William, Kate and the three children George, Charlotte and Louis. But actually the little royals were once again the real stars of the weekend.
