Carmen Geiss after attack: grateful that we are still here
The Geissens have become the victim of a brutal robbery, as Robert Geiss reports to his fans. Now wife Carmen thanks her to the sympathy “in the darkest hour” of her life.
After the attack on her luxury property in Saint-Tropez, Carmen Geiss thanked for the sympathy of fans, friends and family. She was “grateful that we are still here,” wrote the 60-year-old in a post on Instagram and published a video of a wound on her neck. She couldn’t put into words what happened. “It was a shock, an earthquake that shakes my innermost. Now the long way of processing begins for me.” For that she needs time.
Videos showed palm trees, blue lights, paramedics
Husband Robert Geiss reported on Instagram in two videos early on Sunday morning of a brutal attack. “We were attacked in our own house in Saint-Tropez, from the very finest: from four armed idiots,” he said to his followers. Carmen was choked and had a cut on the neck. To see in the background: palm trees, flashing lights and paramedics who are in the Hussens’ House.
First, the “picture” had reported on the incident. The responsible public prosecutor confirmed the robbery without naming details.
Celebrities and fans express their sympathy
Carmen Geiss was grateful for the sympathy at the weekend and wrote in her post: “Your words, your hugs, your thoughts – they were like a light beam in the darkest hour of my life.”
Her contribution again commented on numerous fans and celebrities with good wishes to the Geissens. Actress Jenny Elvers wrote: “Embrace to both of you” and posted three red hearts. The moderators Verena Kerth and Frauke Ludowig also wished a lot of strength and get well soon.
Carmen Geiss: “I was afraid of death.”
The “picture” said Carmen Geiss: “I am glad that I am still alive. I was afraid of death.” As Robert Geiss told the newspaper, the burglars would have surprised the couple on television on the sofa. They still started the burglars, but they had to give up. One of the robbers “held the gun in the face”, he reported, while the other valuables collected. He himself suffered an injury to the ribs.
Carmen and Robert Geiss were both born in Cologne and have been married since 1994. At the time, the entrepreneur had a sports clothing label, Carmen worked as a model and fitness trainer. The two have been giving insights into their jet set life since 2011 with their television show “Die Geissens-a terribly glamorous family”.
