Three films renew this week the national cinema billboard, and ten projects are winners of the first contest that does the current management of the INCAA, which indicates, finally, a step forward. In detail:
The most commented premiere is “Gatillero”, by Cris Tapia Marchiori, one of shots along a single night in Maciel Island. Narcos, thugs, misunderstanding kids, the head of the band, the manager of the neighborhood dining room, and, just out of jail, El Galgo Correa. If it weren’t a greyhound the movie would end faster and less dead.
The story is conventional, entertaining, with a lot of gunpowder and bad milk, affected only by a small speech that slows the rhythm a few moments. But the most striking thing is that it is made in a single plane-sequence, and that has a large deployment of fights, persecutions, vehicles and alleys. This does not do it. Applause for Cris Tapia Marchioriexpert in action scenes, all the people of Dukkah Producciones, the director of photography Martín Sapia and the cast headed by Sergio Podeley in the role of his life. There are already prizes: best script (Wall and Clara Ambrosini) and address at Toledo Action Film Festival, Best Actor in the Fantastic of Porto Alegre, the list continues. Interesting fact, the film, of adjusted budget, without known names except Julieta Díaz and Maite Lanatapremiered simultaneously in more than 24 rooms in the country. And Gatillero, Ay, is a Mexicanism.
“For your good”, of Alex Monsú, It has another rhythm, and another kind of violence. It happens inside Misiones. A good, obedient girl, of a religious family, has her little boyfriend but suddenly her parents marry her with the son of an even more religious family. It seems that the future husband has a problem. The film does not say it, but subtly lets be understood. The young man’s parents are worried. The girl too, and, even if she is obedient to her husband, one day you can finish patience.
Everything, slightly suggested, with discretion, wide screen, little birds and a tone of strangeness well achieved. And all, film, author, interpreters, technical staff, absolutely of missionary origin. An example of the good level and the possibilities that the interior cinema can have well supported by the provincial agencies.
Apart from detail, which contributes to the aforementioned tone of strangeness: What cult do these characters practice? Evangelists who devoutly read the ecclesiastical? Sounds weird. In any case, women go to the foot, not along with men, and that is decisive. (Care, reader, not to confuse ecclesiastical with ecclesiastes, which is something else and pretty trilogy with the song of the songs and the proverbs of King Solomon).
“Tres Cruces”of Alejandro Rathit has nothing to do with Don’s chamamé Mario Millán Medina “Las Tres Cruces”: “Taita and Olano, old opposites / Emmazades for their opinion, / When they were fought, / sturdy in arm, facon to Facón. Or maybe the film that now opens has something to do, but by the opposite, since Rat Talk about three cases where an authority had to run to someone who was causing harm. It was his duty. But it took time to do it and now only the cross of the dishonor falls on them.
The issue is Ríspido, and habitual reason for claims: the delay of ecclesiastical authorities to punish priests who commit abuse about children in charge. Justice is slow, sometimes blind. Rat It exemplifies it with three specific cases where hate and resentment weigh, to the point that one of the victims, and a big person, claims to exaggerate “God has to apologize to me.” A film for reflection, and discussion.

Projects
In September 2024, the current management of the INCAA convened for the first time a project contest. The winners were now known in June, there are ten already experienced directors, including Clarisa Navas and Benjamin Naishtat and Victoria awardthat of “Loving loneliness”, “Cerro Bayo”, “I thought there was going to be a party”and the series “Survival manual” and “Little victories”. Interesting detail, one of the projects, “The Delator”set in the 1970s, had already been timely awarded at the International Political Film Festival of 2022. He did not then achieve a consequent financial support and continued to insist, beyond the change of hand of the INCAA and the title itself, which is confused with one of John Ford.
Here, the list of winning projects, by mere alphabetical order: “Amazon Dream”, by Andrew Sala; “The good judgment (violent emotion)”, by Matías Scarvaci, documentary; “The heart is an erratic muscle,” by Julián Dabien; “El Delator”, by Mariano Ministrelli; “The heavy school”, by Hernán Roselli; “Lovers who didn’t know too much,” from Gastón del Porto; “The hedgehogs”, by María Victoria award; “Perfume. A movie by María Gabriela Epumer” by Lucia Soledad Ruiz, documentary; “They burn in the same way”, by Clarisa Navas; “North zone”, by Benjamín Naishat. Perhaps the latter is the first to specify.
