Julianne Moore: Love is a decision, no condition
The Oscar winner has been friendly with the producer Bart for 22 years. What is the secret of your long marriage?
The Hollywood actress Juliane Moore (64) revealed her view of love and her long relationship with husband Bart (55). Moore has been married to the film director, screenwriters and producers for over 20 years, the couple have two children together. When asked what her secret was, the Oscar winner replied to the magazine “Bunte”: “It is work.”
She hardly knew how it could happen, “but Bart and I have been together for 22 years and this marriage is a pleasure”.
What definitely helps: “If you make yourself aware that love is not a condition, but a decision,” said Moore. “You choose each other, with everything that goes with it. Even on difficult days. You can’t lose yourself as a couple.”
Can laugh together, “especially about ourselves”
So the two would consciously take time for two and travel together or take other escapes from everyday life. “And it may sound banal, but we wear that we can laugh together, especially about ourselves.”
Moore and friendly got to know each other in the mid -90s during filming, in 2003 they married. The common children, son Caleb (27) and daughter Liv (23), are already grown up and no longer live with the parents.
