This novel training methodology consists in choosing a weight that is challenging but allows the entire exercise to be carried out, and make 5 sessions where repetitions are increasing, from 3 in the first, to 7 in the last. All this with 15 second rest intervals between sessions.
To gain muscle, you do not necessarily have more and higher pesos, you can also follow a training method where you try to reach fatigue, and that is what happens with the 3/7 method, which is high volume and it is not necessary to increase the weight, but the repetitions.
To perform 3/7 method, it is trained with a fixed weight and this format is performed:
- 3 repetitions with 15 second rest
- 4 Repeats with rest 15 seconds
- 5 Repeats with rest 15 seconds
- 6 Repeats with rest 15 seconds
- 7 repetitions to complete the series
After reaching the 7 repetitions, there is a rest period of 2.5 minutes and, at the end, the complete set is repeated twice. It is a way of training that allows you to have shorter, but also more effective sessions.
