The next Oscars will be awarded in March 2026. Some winners such as Hollywood star Tom Cruise have already been determined.
Hollywood star Tom Cruise, 62, and Country icon Dolly Parton, 79, are awarded Oscar honorary prices. The actress and choreographer Debbie Allen as well as the scene designer Wynn Thomas also receive special courses, as announced by the Oscar Academy in Beverly Hills. The prices are to be presented in Los Angeles as part of the “Governors Awards” gala on November 16. It takes place for the 16th time.
There is no competition for these trophies, but the board of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences searches for people who have made a special contribution to film and society.
Tom Cruise never got an Oscar
Cruise has become famous by blockbusters like “Mission: Impossible” or “Top Gun”. The actor often performs dangerous stunts himself. Cruise was nominated for an Oscar for his roles in the films “Born on July 4”, “Jerry Maguire – Game of Life” and “Magnolia”, but never won the trophy in the competition.
