It is eagerly awaited whether Sean “Diddy” will testify to Combs himself during his process. The decision is said to have been made.
Sean “Diddy” Combs (55) will not testify in his process of sex trade. That reports. In addition, after a good six weeks, the end will soon be ahead: the process is expected to be completed before July 4, the responsible judge is quoted.
Strategic decision?
The public prosecutor has described a criminal company for years in the course of the procedure, which could bring the music mogul behind grids for life. The accusation: Combs has abused his power and influence to do business with women, to silence the prosecutors and to protect themselves from responsibility. The defense has not yet fully presented its arguments. A central question – whether Combs would testify – now seems to be answered.
Several sources are said to have confirmed to “People” that Combs, despite the great attention that attracts the procedure and the serious allegations that are raised against him, will not testify to his own defense. Legal experts said this decision could be strategic. Because a statement could expose COMBS to a cross -question at high risk, and any statement that he makes under the oath could be used against him in the more than 60 pending civil proceedings.
Jury had to be replaced
For weeks, the former music star in a Federal Court Hall in Manhattan seemed attentive and relaxed – occasionally he shook his head, slipped back and forth on his chair or handed notes to his lawyers. But on June 5, US district judge Arun Subramanian threatened to throw Combs out of the courtroom because he tried to communicate with the jury. On June 16, a jury was released on the basis of contradictory information on his place of residence. Judge Subramanian decided that the jury should be replaced by a replacement juror.
