Netflix launched the official main trailer of the second and last season of The Sandmanstarring Tom Sturridge.
In the trailer, sleep (Sturridge) struggles not only for his own survival, but also because of that of the dream itself, while the world seems to collapse around it. As death says (Kirby Howell-Baptiste): “We all love good stories, but all stories have an end.”
As previously announced, the first six episodes will be launched on July 6, while five more episodes will be launched on July 24. An additional episode that follows Death will be launched on July 31.
What will the second season of The Sandman
The second season will follow Dream of the Endless, who “must face an impossible decision after another while trying to save himself, his kingdom and the world of vigil of the epic consequences of his past misdeeds,” according to the official synopsis. “To amend your mistakes, Dream must face old friends and enemies, gods, monsters and mortals. But the path to forgiveness is full of unexpected turns, and true acquittal can cost everything to Dream.”
The second season will consist of comics stories, including collections “Season of Mist”, “Brief Lives”, “The Kindly You” and “The Sandman: Overture”along with loved stories of a single number like “Such in the Sand”, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, “The Song of Orpheus”, “Thermidor” and “The Tempest”among others.
