Hollywood star Teri Hatcher sets a strong sign of diversity at a fashion show in Hamburg.
A special kind of fashion show: Under the motto “Celebrate Diversity”, Ernsting’s Family presented his new autumn/winter collection 2025 – and lured a real Hollywood star to the Elbe. Teri Hatcher (60), world -famous from the cult series “Desperate Housewive”, was the bright center of the event in the Empire Riverside Hotel in Hamburg. The 60-year-old posed for the photographers in a night blue oversize suit.
“I love the complete fashion show. The topic of diversity,” enthused the actress on the red carpet. She was particularly impressed by the diversity on the catwalk: “So many different body sizes, age groups, cultural backgrounds – and in the middle of it: countless happy children.”
Diversity as an enrichment of life
Hatcher used her appearance to set a clear sign of diversity. “People bring so much – through their individual life experiences, their different cultural backgrounds. If you only surround yourself with like -minded people, you miss all of this – and in the end it just gets boring.”
Her passion for cultural diversity is also reflected in her private life: “This is one of the reasons why I love traveling and getting to know new people. It is so wonderful to feel that the world is so full people who are different and can share different experiences with you. And it all makes us learn better.”
Celebrity contingent with strong messages
Hatcher was by no means the only prominent guest of the evening. A colorful mix of TV stars, models and influencers step across the red carpet and shared his personal view of diversity. TV star Bruce Darnell (67) found clear words as usual: “I feel strong, I feel Powerful. I just feel alive. I’m not a victim at all.” The former “super talent” juror was combative: “Never be a victim, that is the most important thing. You always have to be ready to break new ground.”
“GZSZ” actress Ulrike Frank (56) defines diversity as a fundamental human right: “For me, diversity means that everyone can live and be as they are. Without others being criticizing or evaluating. That we meet each other with tolerance and at eye level.”
Honest words by Enie van de Meiklokjes
Moderator Enie van de Meklokjes (50) found particularly honest words about diversity: “There is a lot of talk about it. Everyone says they want them – but those who really want to implement and live them too.” Her assessment of social reality was sobering: “But somehow the world still hasn’t understood it.”
The mother of two got to the point of what real diversity is really about: “It’s not just about gender. It is also about accepting someone else, speaks differently, maybe moves differently – it is simply different. But it is really ‘different’? Actually, it is quite normal, because for the person concerned it is their living norm.”
Fashion as a universal language
The fashion show itself underlined the message of the evening. Models of different sizes, age groups and origins presented the new Ernsting’s Family collection. Para -Athletics world champion Mathias Mester (38) summed up the mood of the evening: “For me, diversity means that everyone pulls together, form a community – and nobody is excluded or has to stand on the edge alone. Everyone can wear fashion, it is there for everyone – and that is exactly what I think is great.”
The electro-pop duo glass bead game ensured the musical framework, which created the right mood for the evening with its beats. With a view of the port of Hamburg, around 200 invited guests experienced the fashion show, which is presented by a diverse cast from well-known faces-including actress Ulrike Frank, craftswoman and model Sandra Hunke, “GNTM” winner Lea Oude Engberink, Influencer Anna Osicki as well as curvy model Saskia Grimm and “GNTM” finalist Linus Weber became. Colorful designs and cozy styles were shown.
