If you wear open shoes in summer, you should take a beauty session beforehand. A pedicure with the right care makes a lot.

Not only the right outfit is required in summer. Anyone who grabs sandals, pantolettes and straps should think about foot care beforehand. After all, cracked skin and unkempt nails are a no-go. With the right tricks, the pedicure also succeeds at home.

1st step: foot bath and foot peeling

Before you handle cornea and ointments, you should treat your feet a 15-minute bathroom to soak them. As an addition, sea salt can promote blood circulation, almond milk and macadamia oil maintain the skin. If you want to avoid smell of welding, you can take a foot bath with tea tree oil or oak bark.

Sugar and honey or from coffee grounds and olive oil quickly creates your own foot peeling. There are also special peels in every drugstore. The grinding particles in it carry dead skin cells on the feet and the skin becomes pleasantly soft.

2nd step: remove the cornea

Cornea on the feet can be annoying and look unsightly. Bim stones can already cause a lot with little cornea. An electric corneal remover is better suited for thicker layers. Caution should be exercised when handling a corneahobel: the arched blade has the risk of removing too much cornea and violating the skin below.

The cornea protects against bacteria and germs and preserves the skin from excessive stress due to pressure and friction. If too much is removed, it can be painful. Therefore, the corneal removal should always be carefully carried out.

3. Step: Cut and maintain toenails

After that it is the turn of the toenails. With a nail clipper or nail scissors, the nails can be brought to the right length: one to two centimeters of footnail edge are considered optimal. It is advisable to always cut the nails straight and correct small corners with a file to prevent the growing in of nails.

Before the colored paint, the cuticle should be pushed back and removed – this ensures a clean look. Nagle oils and nail skin remover are well suited for this. It is advisable to soak the cuticles before removing. If it is solved from the nail plate, it can be carefully pushed back with a rose wood stick.

4th step: paint toenails

A little color on the nails cannot hurt for a fresh appearance. Small bumps can be repaired with colorless lower varnish or a grooved filler beforehand. In addition, excess nail oil should be removed so that the paint lasts for a long time.

Rottones are particularly popular this summer. Summer vibes also exude nails in coral or white. A light blue is not only more trendy than ever in fashion, the feet also makes it look fresh. Jelly varnishes do just as much on the toenails as on the fingernails – and can complement each other perfectly. A light pink on the hands combined with a paint in lilac on the feet is a real eye -catcher.

5. Step: Creaming your feet

Dry and cracked skin can be very uncomfortable. Foot creams are therefore indispensable: they donate moisture and can have an antibacterial effect depending on the ingredient. Creams with urea are particularly recommended. The active ingredient binds water and regulates the moisture balance of the skin. If you have little time, you can use so -called foam creams. They quickly move in and form a protective film, for example to prevent friction.

6. Step: Use sun protection

UV radiation makes the skin age over time – even on the feet. They are often forgotten when the sunscreen is distributed, and in summer they are particularly exposed to the sun in open shoes. Creaming with sun protection every day is extremely important.
