Chris Brown denies Club attack in London

Chris Brown rejects all allegations in court. The R&B star is said to have attacked a producer with a bottle.

US star Chris Brown (36) commented on severe allegations in front of the Southwark Crown Court in London on Friday – and decidedly rejected them. The R&B singer is said to have attacked a music producer with a tequila bottle in a London nightclub in February 2023.

In a blue suit, Brown appeared in court for a pre -hearing after only enthusiastic thousands of fans at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff the evening before. In silence, the musician made his way through a crowd of photographers who were waiting for him in front of the courthouse. The support of his followers was not long in coming: According to the report, some fans had gathered before the court, others crowded into the courtroom to pursue the negotiation.

Chris Brown decisively rejected the accusations of serious physical injury. In court, the singer clearly stated: “Not guilty.” His co -accused Omololu Akinlolu (39), who appears under the stage name Hoodybaby, also not guilty.

The background to the procedure is an incident in the exclusive “tape” nightclub in the Soho district of London. According to the indictment, Brown is said to have attacked music producers Abraham Diaw “without provocative” on February 19, 2023. The alleged victim was at the bar when Brown was said to have hit him several times with a bottle. The public prosecutor describes the process as a “unprovoked attack”.

The judge postponed the reading of the two other charges – assault and gun ownership – to July 11th. The actual process is scheduled for October 26, 2026.

Joking over time in prison

Brown was arrested in the luxury hotel Lowry in Salford in May when he had entered Great Britain for his European tour. He spent almost a week in custody before he was released against a bail of five million pounds. At his first appearance in Manchester, Brown joked after his time behind bars according to “Daily Mail”: “Thanks for coming and for your support. And thanks to the prison – it was really nice.”

His tour for the 20th anniversary of the stage started in Amsterdam on June 8th. On June 11th and June 13th, two Germany appointments were on the tour list with Hamburg and Frankfurt. The Great Britain stage began on June 15 with two concerts in Manchester, followed by appearances in Cardiff, London, Birmingham and Glasgow. From July 30th, Brown will be on tour in North America.

Chris Brown is known for hits like “Run IT” and “Under the Influence”, but also for his problematic past. In 2009 he was convicted of an assault on his then girlfriend Rihanna (37). Since then he has had legal problems, including further allegations of domestic violence and complains about assault.
