Miroslav Nemec and Udo Wachtveitl receive the honorary award of the Prime Minister. Markus Söder came to the “crime scene” set.

The Munich “Tatort” stars Miroslav Nemec (70) and Udo Wachtveitl (66) receive the honorary award of the Bavarian Prime Minister. Markus Söder (58) surprised the duo during the shooting of her last case, as Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR) announced. The price will be officially presented on October 22nd at the “Blue Panther – TV and Streaming Award 2025” in Munich.

Markus Söder praises the “masterpiece”

“We appreciate the acting performance of the long-term crime scene duo,” explains. “As ‘Batic’ and ‘Leitmayr’, they are part of Sunday evening for millions of crime fans.” The investigator duo “with subtle humor and down-to-earth characters would have positively shaped the picture of Bavaria and wrote television history,” continued Söder. The Prime Minister described the “crime scene” as a “masterpiece for decades” and himself as a big fan of the two main actors.

Nemec and Wachtveitl are awarded the honorary award for the second time. In 2012 she honored the then Prime Minister Horst Seehofer (75) at the award, at that time still mentioned Bavarian television award.

The last “crime scene” episode of the duo

After around 35 years, Nemec and Wachtveitl are about to have their “crime scene” party. In your 99th and 100th case, slip into your roles one last time. The audience expects an exciting double episode with “imperishable”: just four days before the retirement of the commissioners, a burned body appears. The search for the perpetrator leads you to wrong ways and into an entire network of criminal violence. The shooting of the final double episode will take place in Munich and the surrounding area until July 16, and the broadcaster has not yet announced a broadcast date.

From 2026 there will be a new team of investigators. Carlo Ljubek (49) joined the Sunday thriller as chief criminal commissioner Nikola Buvak. Ferdinand Hofer (32) is retained as a crime commissioner Kalli Hammermann.
