The news was signed by singer Peter “Pete” Doherty, bassist Drew McConnell, guitarist Mick Whitnall and drummer Adam Ficek. Pete Doherty founded the band Babyshambles after his Libertines-out in 2004. From 2004 to the end of 2005, his buddy Patrick Walden was part of the band, which was known for her outly called rock star lifestyle.
Walden’s exit due to drug problems was officially announced in 2006. In addition to Doherty, Walden and McConnell, drummer Gemma Clarke also included the initial formation, with whose successor Adam Ficek published the band “Down in Albion” in 2005. Walden returned from the band for some appearances after his farewell.
Before his Babyshambles time, Walden played in London bands like Fluid, The Six Cold Thousand and The White Sport. He also played for James Blunt (51). After the band exit, he devoted himself to his own groups Big Dave and Bête Noire.
