Gailard Sartain has appeared in countless films and series in the past decades. Now he died in Tulsa.
Gailard Sartain is dead. The American actor died of natural death this week in his home in the city of Tulsa in the state of Oklahoma. His wife Mary Jo Sartain has the death of her husband. According to the report, the actor turned 81.
Gailard Sartain “died of silly”
“Actually, he died of silly,” tells Mary Jo Sartain to the industry magazine. The two were therefore married for 36 years. The actor performed in numerous productions over the decades and, particularly in the USA in the 1970s, gained broader awareness through the program “HEE HAW”. Sartain had his last appearance in the 2000s, including in “Ali” with Will Smith (56) and in “Elizabethtown” with Orlando Bloom (48) and Kirsten Dunst (43).
Sartain was known for his comedic talent, but also happy to be able to play roles later. In 2017, he explained to the daily newspaper “Tulsa World” that nobody likes to be cast only “as a barefoot hind forester”. “So when I had the opportunity to play other roles, I was happy to accept them.” The film “Mississippi Burning” brought a turn and it was no longer “only” as a funny type “.
In addition to his wife, Sartain leaves his three children Sarah, Esther and Ben, his granddaughter Chloe and his great -grandson Teddy.
