Heinz Horrmann is dead. According to his wife, the ex- “grill den Henssler” juror died at the age of 82.
Heinz Horrmann surprisingly died at the age of 82. This is confirmed by his wife Regine (76). Accordingly, the journalist, gastrocrat and former TV juror died in his home in Berlin. His wife found him lifeless in the morning after leaving early Wednesday. “As sad and painful, his loss is – there could have been no better death for Heinz. He would not have wanted to go to the hospital and connected to hoses.” The two would have spent “a very nice and fulfilling life together”.
Reiner Calmund had “lots of fun” with jury colleagues
From season one to season six (2013 to 2016), Horrmann worked as a juror in the “Grill den Henssler” cooking show with professional chef Steffen Henssler (52) and gave his reviews alongside Reiner Calmund (76). Gerhard Retter (52) and later Christian Rach (68) followed Horrmann. Heinz Horrmann was also on the jury in the predecessor “The Kocharena”.
Reiner Calmund has already commented on the sudden death of his long -standing companion. The “picture” he said: “His death lets my thoughts back to many common cooking programs and lots of fun that you had always guaranteed with him.” Not every of the chefs of the show tasted as sensitive and sharp tongue. “But he always remained loyal to his kind.”
His wife also looked back. She was very proud of her husband, who only stopped working about three years ago, and “what he achieved in his life”. Horrmann also worked as a journalist and published over 30 books about hotels and restaurants.
According to his wife, the former TV juror will be adopted at a funeral service and urn burial at the Melaten cemetery in Cologne in about six weeks.
