New in the cinema: Scarlett Johansson: “Sometimes I was just exhausted”

US actress Scarlett Johansson (“Black Widow”) had to go through hard days when shooting for her new film “Jurassic World: Return” – she had dreamed of it since childhood.

“I was totally shocked and thrilled when I was cast for the film. And when we all gathered, I thought it would just be incredibly great,” said Johansson of the dpa news agency in Berlin. “And then you come to the film set and do the actual work. And some days are really hard.” As a child, she was a big “Jurassic Park” fan, she had told in various interviews.

Very challenging filming

“Jurassic World: The rebirth” (cinema start July 2) was shot in Thailand and Malta. The 40-year-old Johansson plays an expert in the hunt for some of the most dangerous dinosaurs in the country, in water and in the air.

The conditions for shooting were sometimes very challenging, said Johansson. And she was not always able to imagine how all the individual parts in the end should come together in the finished film.

“Then I tried to talk to myself again and again, this is a great script, a great director, a great crew – it will be a fantastic film. But it didn’t feel that way at any moment. Sometimes I was just exhausted.”

Fascination for petrified Dinohaut

In the meantime, however, she is very proud of the finished film, says Johansson. And despite the hard work on the shoot, the 40-year-old is still in dinofobere. The huge dinosaurs, enthuses Johansson, are “almost mythological creatures that none of us have ever seen with our own eyes. Incredible that they really existed!”

Even as an adult, she fascinates the view of Dino fossils in the museum – especially a certain part of the body: “In the Natural History Museum in New York, there is a very cool impression of a petrified dinoaut. This is one of the most exciting spots for me. You know the bones and things, but when you see this skin, then you think: Oh my god, that was really real – Dinosaurs must be like this. have.”
