Venice: Almost 100 private jets for the Bezos wedding
Venice is very full in June anyway. Now there are also 200 celebrity guests for the big party of the Amazon founder. There is already talk of the “world capital of the star system”.
Due to the wedding of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and the former TV presenter Lauren Sánchez, Venice is setting up at the highest operation this week. According to the authorities, around 200 prominent guests are invited to the celebrations. At the airport of the Italian lagoon city, more than 90 private jet jets will be expected in the next few days, as the daily newspaper “Corriere della Sera” reports.
With their own aircraft, the TV sizes Oprah Winfrey, Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian as well as the company bosses Eric Schmidt (Google) and Bill Gates (Microsoft) want to arrive, among other things. “Marco-Polo airport is practically becoming the world capital of the star system for a week,” the report says. So far, 95 landings have been registered. The newspaper is based on information from air traffic circles.
The first guests are expected in Venice this Tuesday, where several tens of thousands of tourists are traveling every day in the narrow streets between the channels – as always at this time.
Private yacht and luxury hotel suite
It is not yet known when the 61 -year -old Bezos and his future wife (55) arrive. The wedding will probably take place on Friday. According to newspaper reports, the private yacht of the US billionaire, the “Koru”, is currently still on the road in the Mediterranean.
According to information from various media, the couple is also said to have booked a suite in the luxury hotel “Aman” on the Grand Canal. Hollywood star George Clooney and his wife Amal were also housed there at their weddings in Venice, as were footballers Bastian Schweinsteiger and Ana Ivanović.
