Roxette-Mastermind Gessle does not want to retire
Others look forward to extensive travel or time with their grandchildren at their age. Third-handed musicians, on the other hand, cannot imagine shortening professionally. On the contrary.
Roxette legend by Gessle does not think of quitting at 66 years. “I love to work,” said the musician of the German Press Agency before his concert in Munich. Pension is not his style. “And as long as I am healthy and have a positive attitude to things, I’m very happy.”
Since the illness of Roxette front woman Marie Fredriksson in 2002 and even after her death in 2019, he never stopped working as a musician. Gessle is currently on stage with the Swedish singer Lena Philipsson (59) as a Roxette.
