Do you know which is the heaviest organ of our body? Or how many hair can you lose every day – for no reason? Let yourself be surprised.
Our organism consists of up to 100 trillion cells. But which of them are the little ones and which are the greatest – and what do the two ways have to do with each other?
With the bones of our body alone, there is bizarre to discover: the human skeleton is made up of 206 to 212 bones. The number can be different from person to person – because of different many small bones in the feet or in the spine. But which ankle is probably the very small and lightest – and which bone is the longest? Only so much can be revealed here: the bandwidth is enormous – from the size of half a rice grain to the length of a medium shoe box.
Fine muscle play in the human body
And something else remarkable: Of the approximately 640 muscles in the body, we activate 15 pieces in the face when laughing. To frown, we use almost three times as many. Then prefer to laugh more often, save muscle and spread a good mood.
In this photo gallery we present what astonishing facts are still available about our body.
