If you want a nice chin area, you have to chew and chewing gum, preferably ultra -hard. For more and more men of the gene z, the chewing gum serves as a sports equipment. Can that work?
There was a time when the extremely slim silhouette of Kate Moss was the nonplusultra of body aesthetics. Heroinchic was called that back then, today it is called toxic. Then there was a time when men were built like action characters, Arnold Schwarzenegger or Jean-Claude van Damme, dimensionally male sexty. What is considered beautiful, that is somewhere between Bowie-Androgynität and Dolly Buster Breasts, Fitness Influencer and Rubens sensitivity. Part of the current fashion: a chin area sharper than razor blades. The men of the gene Z bite their teeth together. You have found your alkahest for perfect chin in chewing gum.
Beauty ideals are an unjust thing. Some are lucky, are blessed with the right genetics, others have to work hard for it or even help surgically to achieve the currently trendy look. The butt is shaped with squats, the Jawline – the English term for the jaw line is more common in this context – with facial exercises. The training instrument: chewing gum, as hard as possible. On TikK and YouTube, the chewing gum is in particular like a high -performance sport. You document your supposed progress from the Schwabbelkinn to the Clark-Kent profile in videos.
Ultra -hard chewing gum should make more attractive
In the meantime there are several chewing gum brands that have jumped on the trend. They offer chewing gum, which were explicitly developed for the purpose of facial fitness, i.e. training for the facial muscles. Among them “Stronger Gum”. The brand advertises that it can model the chin area within two weeks. Or the competition “Jawliner”, which declares your product directly as a facial fitness chewing gum. The figures show that the companies hit the pulse of the times. Jawliner is said to have already sold more than a million chewing gum packages, reports company spokeswoman Tiffany Tran of the “New York Times”. 60 percent of customers are between 18 and 25 years old.
Is the hype justified or is there a clever marketing behind the Jawliner chewing gum? On the one hand, the chewing gums, which argue with a study from 2018, among other things. This suggests that an improvement in the bite through the chewing gum could be achieved. The careful wording in the subjunctive is no coincidence. With only 19 participants, it was a mini study with little meaning. Overall, the scientific data situation is more than manageable. In addition, various experts have already spoken out, who are at least skeptical about the chewing gum for the facial modeling or even advise against it. The dentist Dr. Andrea Jacob is one of them.
Through the chewing gum to the perfect chin area?
Jacob tested the Jawliner chewing gum for almost two months. The dentist tells of her experiences and explains about the meaning and nonsense of the trend. The chewing gum, which she tested as a chin -definent manner, was “brutally hard”. So hard that she pulled out an inlay while chewing. She clearly says: “For such chewing gum you have to have healthy teeth – solid fillings, solid bridges”. She also explains that the human body has more muscles to close than to open the jaw, so the movement tendency therefore rather goes to close anyway. If this is also pushed and overused and an imbalance is expanded by the closet and the opener, this can lead to extreme problems. Above all, people who already have difficulties in the area, for example tend to grind, should keep their fingers off the chewing gum. “That would be like oil in fire casting,” she says.
And what about the optical effects? Does the long -term chew bring anything? If you believe the videos on social media: yes. There, several young men attribute their angular facial features to the chewing gum. Andrea Jacob arranges whether you actually lose weight on the jawby or not or not, Andrea Jacob. She says: “If there is a little more meat in the game, you won’t be able to reduce it within 30 days and build muscle.” Even Jacob’s own chin jaw game has not really changed due to the months of chewing gum. Her conclusion: “My self -experiment has not reached his goal.”
