Finding inner peace – with these tips you can succeed

The inner peace is worth gold. But the to-do list is full, one call chases the next. The result: inner unrest. These tips help to become more balanced.
Every year at the turn of the year, many people in Germany are doing something. According to a survey, 62 percent of Germans want to avoid stress on behalf of the health insurance company DAK 2024. The representative survey was carried out by Forsa. 1006 people in Germany were interviewed in mid -November. The desire for calm and peace is understandable, especially in stressful times, but not always easy to implement. What inner peace is and which tips bring us closer to this condition.
Lobna Chérif, Ryan Niemiec and Valerie Wood summarize the term “inner peace” in their contribution in the “International Journal of Wellbeing” as a positive emotional state. It is characterized by the feeling of balance and satisfaction. Inner peace therefore means being in a stable state – in balance. In a study from 2013, the 378 participants found the words, among other things, calmly, comfortably, peaceful, harmonious and safe to describe internal peace.
Inner peace: Our thoughts are the key
The psychologist Victoria Bindrum summarizes whether we can feel inner peace or struggle in the inner restlessness on how we deal with our thoughts. Try to think positively (he) does not help at this point. Negative thoughts are also ok, it should only be avoided to dive into them. Better: let the thoughts come, perceive and accept them. If you get involved in negative thoughts, you can concentrate on your own body to get these nasty voices out of your head, said the expert.
In a study from 2018, researchers dealt with strong characteristics, well -being and inner peace. The scientists: Inside, 900 participating interviews carried out to find out what inner peace can be created. The researchers have worked out the following points:
- Close relationships, social support and trust can help us find internal peace.
- People with characteristics such as optimism, empathy and flexibility feel more inner peace.
- Even those who accept other people, can forgive them and are tolerant are more balanced.
- To what extent we can encounter ourselves in a friendly and grateful manner also has an influence.
- Spirituality, religion or the dormer to something can also lead to a positive state of mind.
- Time in nature can calm us down and make us satisfied.
- Physical activity, health and stable finances also help people feel positive and balanced.
Tips for more inner peace
From the study, tips can be derived from how we can come to inner peace:
- Integrate physical exercise into everyday life. Whether a walk, jogging or yoga – do what helps you get your head free. And: every step counts.
- Temple practices such as meditation can help to focus on yourself and the moment. And provide relaxation!
- Write down every evening what was good during the day and what you are grateful for – this directs your thoughts onto the positive sides and ensures that we feel more balanced.
- More often with the friend: report inside. If we have close social ties, we feel safe and can enjoy the exchange.
- Meet yourself and other people with a certain caution.
- Plan time in nature every week.
- Religious and spiritual people should also involve this part of everyday life.
