A new investigation shows that people who have never had sex are exceptionally well formed. But there is also talk of negative characteristics in the study.
According to a study, adults who have never had sex are formed above average. This emerges from an investigation by the Amsterdam University Center and the University of Queensland with the participation of the Max Planck Institute for Empirical Aesthetics, as the Institute announced on Monday in Frankfurt am Main.
For the study, the data was analyzed by more than 400,000 Britishes aged 39 to 73. Around one percent of them stated that they have never had sex.
This group is better trained on average, but also lonely, nervous and more unhappy than those with sexual experience, it said. Sexlessness also occurs more often in areas with larger socio -economic income inequality.
Men who have never had sex have some similarities
According to researchers, physical features also play a role in men, especially in men. Men who have never had sex are therefore more physically weaker and tend to live in regions where there are fewer women.
According to the study, about 15 percent of the differences between people with and without sexual experiences are due to genetic factors such as intelligence or neurological developmental disorders.
It also showed that people who have never had sex consume alcohol and drugs and wore glasses more often at a young age.
Sexlessness is complex
Sexlessness is the result of a complex interplay of biological and social factors, explained one of the study authors, Karin Verweij. “Our results show that both the environment, personality and genetics play a role.”
The researchers emphasized that the study did not distinguish between voluntary and involuntary sexlessness. Some people consciously decided to live without sex, it said.
