Despite the high number of infections, people in Germany are now getting more freedom back. Unvaccinated people in particular benefit. If everything goes according to plan, there will soon be further simplifications.
After months of corona restrictions, further measures will no longer apply in Germany from Friday. In the catering and hotel industry, the 3G rule will apply in the future, according to which unvaccinated people with a negative test, for example, can go to the restaurant. Clubs and discotheques are also allowed to open again – the 2G Plus rule applies there. So only those who have recovered and those who have been vaccinated with a test or with a third vaccination are admitted.
The new easing is the second step in the nationwide easing plan that the federal and state governments decided in mid-February. New rules also apply to events. The federal and state governments had stipulated that more vaccinated or recovered spectators (2G) can be admitted to major events than before – indoors the maximum number is 6000 people with a maximum occupancy rate of 60 percent. Outdoors, 75 percent of the maximum capacity can be used and a maximum of 25,000 people are allowed.
Corona measures: Further openings in around two weeks
From March 20th, “all more profound” measures should be dropped if the situation in the clinics allows it. So-called basic protective measures, such as the obligation to wear a mask indoors, should remain in place.
