Only a quarter of those who have not been vaccinated want to be vaccinated

More than half of the citizens in Germany are now fully vaccinated. Among those who have not yet received the spades, there are also many complete refusal to vaccinate.

According to a survey, only a good every fourth unvaccinated person in Germany still wants to be vaccinated against the corona virus. In a representative survey by the Insa Institute for “Bild am Sonntag”, 54 percent of those who have not yet accepted a vaccination offer stated that they generally do not want to be vaccinated. According to the survey, only 27 percent of the unvaccinated can imagine a vaccination, 19 percent are still undecided.

Majority supports restrictions on the unvaccinated

The main reason given by 67 percent of those who refused to vaccinate in the survey was a lack of trust in the vaccines. The SPD health expert Karl Lauterbach told the newspaper that he firmly assumed that these people would have to expect restrictions in the future. “In autumn, when the number of cases is very high, there will have to be a number of restrictions for those who have not been vaccinated. said Lauterbach.

According to “Bild am Sonntag”, the majority of people in Germany are in favor of restrictions for unvaccinated people as the number of cases increases. According to the report, 61 percent are of the opinion that unvaccinated people should no longer be allowed to attend sporting events if the number of cases is high. 58 percent want to ban theater, cinema and museum visits for unvaccinated people, 54 percent want to ban visits to restaurants.

Since this Sunday, unvaccinated people have to expect restrictions on their return journey to Germany: Anyone who wants to enter the Federal Republic and is at least twelve years old must present a corona test from Sunday. This rule does not apply to those who have been fully vaccinated or have recovered.

Seven months after the start of the corona vaccinations in Germany, more than half of all citizens now have complete protection. According to the Federal Ministry of Health, as of Wednesday, 41.8 million people or 50.2 percent of the total population are fully vaccinated with the second syringe, which is usually necessary. 50.9 million people or 61.1 percent of the population have now received at least one first dose.
