USA: Mother loses two sons to Covid-19 within twelve hours

Because they did not want to be vaccinated, two brothers from the US city of Jacksonville died as a result of a coronavirus infection. Her mother, however, was vaccinated and survived an infection with mild symptoms.

A mother and her two adult sons become infected with the coronavirus. She’s vaccinated, but neither of them. She survived the infection and her two sons died from it. This tragic event happened to Lisa Brandon from Jacksonville, Florida.

“It’s a parent’s worst nightmare,” said a visibly moved Lisa Brandon to the local TV station. She tells her story to get other people to vaccinate.

Sons have to be ventilated in the intensive care unit

Brandon and her 35 and 41 year old sons were living together when they contracted the coronavirus in late July. When the two men’s condition worsened, Brandon took their sons, Aaron Jaggi and Free Jaggi, to a hospital. Both were admitted to the intensive care unit and connected to a ventilator.

Both died as a result of the Covid 19 infection: Free on August 12 and Aaron the next day, within just twelve hours. “It’s awful. I love my boys,” said Brandon tearfully. “You never made it home.” With the death of the two, she has now lost all three of her children. Another son died five years ago. “My boys were my life,” said Brandon. “That’s all I lived for, for her.”

Friends and family support mother

Lisa Brandon was vaccinated with the vaccine from Moderna. She owed her mild disease course to vaccination, she said. However, she was unable to convince her sons of the corona vaccination. “I think they would be alive today if they had their injection,” said Brandon. But now it is too late.

In addition to the painful loss, the death of her sons also has other consequences for Lisa Brandon. Because the three of them were paying the rent for her house, she had to move out because she could no longer afford the rent. However, friends and family give the mother a hand and support her, for example with one for the funeral expenses.
