If you want to see a doctor as a patient, you have to spend a lot of time and patience. star-Author Kester Schlenz is angry about it. starKnowledge boss Christoph Koch explains the reasons – and how it could be better.

Almost everyone knows it, at least every patient with health insurance: You often wait months for an appointment with the doctor. Privately insured people, on the other hand, usually don’t have to. Why is that? A conversation between a medical expert (Christoph Koch) and a plagued health insurance patient (Kester Schlenz).

Schlenz: I said at the conference: we should bring something up about that. What many doctors do to us patients is an impertinence.
Cook: Because you had to wait for a doctor’s appointment? There can be good reasons for this. I understand your frustration, but…

It wasn’t just about waiting. This unequal treatment annoys me. As a cash patient, I feel like shit.
