Berlin dermatologist Yael Adler explains why facial expressions are more important than flawlessness. A conversation about true beauty, botox and skin care from within.
How important is beauty to your patients?
Interest has increased in recent years. I can’t say exactly why that is. Perhaps there are role models in social media or that many things appear possible and purchasable with injections, lasers or operations.
But haven’t the expectations of one’s own appearance also increased?
Of course I see that we live in a time where youth and beauty are more important. There is social pressure. There is a trend towards uniform optics up to boring flawlessness. I think that’s a mistake.
