Fewer and fewer people in Germany are getting vaccinated against the corona virus. Last Sunday, the number of first vaccinations was only four digits for the first time in a long time. But the downward trend has been apparent for weeks.
Fewer and fewer people in Germany are getting an initial vaccination against the corona virus. The number of corona vaccinations in the country has stagnated in the last few weeks, as this shows. Fewer and fewer people have been immunized since the beginning of July; since the end of August / beginning of September there has not been a day on which more than 300,000 vaccine doses were administered.
More than 87,000 people were immunized on Monday – around 28,400 of them were vaccinated for the first time. In the previous week there were around 150,000 corona vaccinations, with more than 48,800 first vaccinations.
For the first time four-digit value for first vaccinations
Last Sunday, the day of German unity, is striking. Only 12,780 vaccine doses were administered on that day – the lowest value in the German vaccination campaign to date. Of these around 12,800 vaccinations, 4828 were first vaccinations – the first four-digit value since the start of corona vaccinations in Germany. 6325 second vaccinations were administered – fewer than since January.
In Germany, 56,713,234 people received the first spades against the corona virus. This corresponds to around 68.2 percent of the total population. 64.7% of the total population are fully vaccinated. In numbers, that’s 53,818,763 people.
Of the at least 60-year-olds, 86.3 percent have been vaccinated for the first time and 84.4 have been completely immunized. In the age group of 18 to 59 year olds, it is just under 71 and 70.5 percent, respectively. And among 12 to 17-year-olds, 42.2 percent have been vaccinated once, while a good 35 percent enjoy full vaccination protection. (As of October 5th)
