We all know the good old New Year’s resolutions of wanting to live healthier. But exercising three times a week and cooking freshly every day is difficult for many of us to fit into everyday life. In an interview, Carsten Lekutat reveals how we can do something good for our health with just one minute a day.

Mr. Lekutat, many of us would like to live healthier lives and are planning to change our lifestyle, especially at the start of the new year. Why do we so often fail at this?

: I think that’s human nature. When we are highly motivated to do something new or to leave something old, there is almost nothing that can stop us. We often take on too much at once. Actually, motivation is a good thing, but it is far from enough to permanently change our behavior. Because motivation comes and goes. What remains is often a bad aftertaste that we haven’t managed to do what we intended to do again.
