For younger skin thanks to running

For younger skin thanks to running

Everyone knows by now that running prevents illnesses and keeps the mind fit. But according to studies, regular exercise also rejuvenates the skin.

Nothing works without motivation. Sure, everyone knows that. My personal variant is a Google Alert that I set up a few weeks ago. He always sends me an email when there is a new study on the topics of running or fitness. This morning, for example, the message came: “Younger skin through sport.” I’ve been looking forward to that all morning. Because according to research, sport not only keeps our skin younger, it also rejuvenates it. Sounds like science fiction, but it seems very simple.

Researchers at McMaster University in Ontario, Canada, came up with this. First they let mice go, then people. Everyone looked better in the end. I don’t know how to find this out in mice. But no matter, the bottom line counts. And that says: People over 40 who exercise regularly have healthier and younger-looking skin. Almost like 20 or 30 year olds. It gets even better. The same experiment was repeated with people over 65. With 30 minutes of exercise twice a week, her skin soon looked only half as old. The actually normal thinning of the skin, which progresses with age, could hardly be detected under the microscope. Many wrinkles were simply gone

When I lace up my running shoes in the morning, I’ll be thinking of this particular study. And then I know what I am tormenting myself for. Motivation can be so simple.
