Sometimes you’re together, sometimes you’re not, and most of the time you’re neither really together in the “on phases” nor really separated in the “off phases.” By the way, these relationships are called “on-off relationships” because, like light switches, they are sometimes on, then off again, then on again – and so on. But what is actually behind this relationship dynamic?
