Every year, millions of disposable cotton pads made from conventional cotton (including plastic packaging) end up in the trash. There have long been environmentally friendly make-up removal alternatives, such as the make-up eraser.
Commercially available facial cleansers contain chemical ingredients that reliably remove even waterproof make-up from the face and décolleté. However, the make-up removers in plastic bottles are at least as harmful to the environment as the cotton pads that are used to apply the lotions or toners. So why spend a lot of money on expensive cosmetics when there are skin-friendly alternatives to make-up removal – which on top of that produce significantly less (plastic) waste and are completely free of chemicals? The make-up eraser, for example, cleans the pores deep into the pores and can be used over and over again. And that’s just one of the many advantages.
Overview: This is how the makeup eraser works
The make-up eraser is available in three different versions: as , or . But regardless of which variant you choose – the functions are always the same:
- To remove dead skin cells and impurities, excess oil and make-up residues from the face and cleavage, the erasers contain microscopic X-fibers.
- The X-fibers have been specially rounded so that they can penetrate deep into the pores and thus ensure a clear and pure complexion (without residues).
- In order to avoid skin irritation, the make-up erasers were not only dermatologically tested (and found to be good), but also approved by the TÜV.
- Every make-up eraser has micropore technology: a short-pile side for intensive cleansing of the skin and a long-pile side for gentle peeling of the skin.
Makeup Eraser: Tips on Using
Before use, the makeup eraser must be held under running water and wrung out to moisten it and use it to cleanse your face. While the short-pile side is used to remove make-up, the long-pile side acts like a kind of peeling – to cleanse the skin down to the pores. Do not exert too much pressure during the treatment, as the make-up eraser effectively cleanses the skin with just one gentle application. If it is difficult to remove waterproof mascara, it is also important to hold the facial tissue under warm water and place it over your closed eyes for a few minutes. This allows the waxes contained in the mascara to be removed from the eyelashes better and, above all, more easily.
And another tip: This should happen after three to five applications at the latest go into the washing machine that even after the first, but at the latest after the second treatment. the -Variants, on the other hand, can be used two to three times in a row before they have to be cleaned to a maximum of 40 degrees (like the other models).
Make-up erasers: further advantages at a glance
First and foremost is the environmental factor: You produce significantly less waste if you do without conventional cotton wool pads, which end up in the waste after being used once. In second place comes the cost factor: With the reusable make-up cleaner, you save a lot of money in the long term for commercially available facial cleansers. Other advantages include the following two: 1. Due to its low weight and small size, the make-up eraser fits into every toiletry bag and 2. All three variants are hypoallergenic and therefore suitable for all skin types.
