CC Cream: Beauty trend against redness and pigment spots

CC Cream: Beauty trend against redness and pigment spots

It took the beauty market by storm: CC Cream is traded as the successor to BB Cream. It combines the positive properties of both products in just one (tinted) face cream. But what exactly is behind the name?

About the background: The two letters stand for “Complexion Correction” or “Color Correction”. In contrast to the BB Cream, the CC Cream promises an improved effect on your complexion. Especially when the first wrinkles are already noticeable on your face, the tinted day cream should be able to achieve a natural and ground-level result. And that’s not all that the CC Cream promises. What sets it apart from a commercial BB Cream and who the upgrade is best for is explained as follows.

CC Cream vs. BB Cream: What’s the Difference?

BB Cream stands for “Blemish Balm” or “Beauty Balm”. It was primarily developed for normal skin types and is intended to care for the face as well as ensure a beautiful complexion – this is made possible by the light tint contained in the day cream. In short: one combines three functions in just one product: it moisturizes the skin, conceals small bumps and provides the necessary UV protection. Due to its low proportion of color pigments, it does not cover as much as a foundation, but the result should be all the more natural.

CC Cream, on the other hand, is understood as an upgrade of the BB Cream. It has the same properties as its predecessor, but has a lot more to offer: According to the manufacturer, the tinted day cream can not only reduce visible irregularities such as redness or pigmentation problems on the face, but also small wrinkles. By applying the CC Cream, your skin tone should be corrected with the help of small pigments and your complexion will look more natural and even – provided you use the product regularly. Due to the anti-aging effect, the day cream is particularly suitable for mature skin from 30+.

Important: Even if the CC Cream contains a sun protection factor, it cannot replace sunscreen. Additional protection is particularly important in the summer months!
