The delta variant of the coronavirus is spilling across the globe and driving up the number of infections. Once again. Nevertheless, fewer and fewer people become seriously ill, which is mainly due to the vaccination campaigns. But although the little Pikser protects against Covid-19, there are only a few countries in the world where the vaccination rate is 60 percent or more. Germany is not one of them either. Almost half of all German citizens are fully vaccinated – researchers estimate that to keep the virus in check, between 80 and 85 percent of people would have to be vaccinated.
Where does a corona vaccination apply?
This is one of the reasons why the word “mandatory vaccination” is heard more and more frequently. Some scientists are calling for it, as are business representatives, for example from the event industry and gastronomy. The federal government, on the other hand, has so far rejected compulsory vaccination. But such reluctance does not apply everywhere – more and more states, institutions and companies are demanding full protection. An overview in the photo gallery.
