The dark hairs on the upper lip are an aesthetic problem for millions of women. We show you promising methods of how to remove a women’s beard.

Even if the facial hair is something completely natural in women, many of them find a women’s beard uncomfortable: that is, a few hairs that are much darker than the ordinary fluff of cheeks, chin and upper lip – and therefore clearly recognizable. This in turn is often an aesthetic problem for those affected, for which they are particularly ashamed in public. Here we explain how the unpleasant beard growth can occur and what tips a ladies’ beard is easily removed from.

Why do women get a women’s beard?

There is a good reason for the fact that only men get a beard – and it is in their genes: the male sex hormones, also called androgens. The best known among them is the testosterone, which is responsible for hair growth. Women also produce the hormone, but in such small quantities that it usually has no influence on hair growth. However, if significantly more male hormones are formed, the woman affected receives a women’s beard. In technical jargon, the hormonal imbalance is also mentioned, from which almost four million women suffer.

Unfortunately, this is not the only reason that can lead to increased hair growth on the face. The most common causes of a women’s beard include – in addition to the overproduction of testosterone – the following:

  • The menopause, also called menopause
  • Sick ovaries or adrenal glands
  • Taking special hormone preparations

The simplest and cheapest procedure to remove a women’s beard is:Just shave it. However, this method also harbors a disadvantage: the hairs quickly grow again and thus leave a stubborn feeling on the skin – like when the legs are shaved, that many women don’t like. For this reason, you should think carefully about whether this method is the right one for you. In this case, you can use a razor that was specially developed to remove women’s beard hair.

If only a few individual hairs can be seen on the upper lip, shaving is superfluous. If you still feel visually disturbed by it, you can to Pee for the tweezers. Pfing is not quite pain -free, but it is uncomplicated and inexpensive. However, this method also has a disadvantage: the hairs grow back relatively quickly.

Similar to plucking with tweezers, the women’s beard hair is pulled out of the skin when epilated and root. That not only sounds uncomfortable, it is usually also. For this, the upper lip also remains smooth for up to three weeks with successful application. Unfortunately, there is also a risk that the fine hairs will stop during treatment, so you have to be careful and thorough here. So-called facial hair epilierers are best suited for the women’s beard: this is a spiral that is bending so that a loop forms. The resulting middle is moved back and forth again and again via the desired skin area.

If you have ever grown your legs, you know how effective – but also painful – this treatment can be. But you are rewarded for the agony: the skin stays smooth and smooth for up to four weeks. Regardless of where the hair was removed. For this reason, the women’s beard can also be removed using wax or sugar paste. Provided that the hairs are at least three millimeters long. Otherwise, the hair roots will not be removed by the jerky peeling of the fleece strip and continues to grow happily. In addition, you should still know that sensitive skin can react very irritably to waxing and sugaring – in that case you should rather go into the professional hands of a beautician.

If you disrupt the hairs on the upper lip, but are not (yet) ready to remove them, there is another gentle method: the bleach. To do this, you need a special hydrogen peroxide basis, which you apply to the women’s beard and let it work briefly-here, too, you should stick to the recommended time on the package insert. The bleach causes the color to be removed from the annoying hairs and thus pale them. This has the advantage that your women’s beard catches less eye, the facial hair is still the same. In addition, you have to repeat the bleaching process after a week or two. A cheap, pain -free method if you only want to lighten a few hair.

A classic to remove annoying hairs is the depilatory cream. In contrast to the other methods, this is completely painless – the sulfur -like smell is anything but pleasant in the nose. In addition, your face could be irritated by the cream if you do not adhere to the exact time of action. Unpleasant skin irritation would be the result. The application is child’s play for this.
