Mindfulness has become a real trend term. It is often used in the same breath as meditation and yoga. It can still mean a lot more.

Meditation apps, yoga retreats and relaxation mandalas-the trend towards mindfulness is unbroken. However, beginners in particular often do not know which of the many mindfulness guides they can actually rely on. In any case, there are many approaches and methods, mostly against good money.

The principle of mindfulness does not primarily depend on the right exercises, but on the attitude. At least that’s what Dr. Martina Aßmann, behavioral therapist and chair of the German Association for Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), in conversation with the star.

What is mindfulness about?

But what is a conscious life about? For Aßmann, the answer is obvious: “Mindfulness means perceiving our evaluation and accepting the associated feelings, but not being influenced by it. You can say that through mindfulness you develop the ability to think about your thoughts.”

So mindfulness is nothing that you learn overnight and integrate into your life. It takes patience to establish a mindful way of life. But: if that succeeds, it is demonstrably more relaxed, more satisfied – and healthier. Maybe our tips can help you get started with a more mindful life.
