I was convinced that I was wrong

Despite the job commitment or compliment, I often have self -doubt and the feeling of not deserving success. The good news: there are ways to escape this idea.

The moon has long risen when I put it down: an application, quickly put together. I am sure that I do not meet the requirements. But the next morning the invitation comes to the interview. The conversation is short: no knocking out specialist knowledge, no big questions – just a little harmless small talk. Ten minutes later, my email mailbox rings: “We are happy to be able to tell you …” The long-awaited job commitment! I read the words, but they don’t reach me. Instead of joy, I feel fear.

I’m just sitting there, staring on the screen and thinking: How can that be? Did I somehow deceive it or was I just in the right place at the right time? In me, relief mixes with the paralyzing feeling of having received something that I don’t deserve. And before pride can arise, the next question in my head revolves: How should I now permanently convince the team that I am competent enough?
