It is probably the most difficult time in teacher training: the legal clerkship. Two former teaching students have star tells how the legal clerkship drove it into depression.
Stefanie was in her darkened bedroom and tried to get up. She couldn’t. The motivation that she had had shortly after her completion was gone. As if she had never existed. “It was like a giant mountain who opened up in front of me and from which I didn’t know how to overcome him,” the teacher tries to describe her emotional situation at the time.
During the legal clerkship, it was impossible for her to leave her bed for days, go to school and teach. She had depression. Her friend tried to motivate her, but initially in vain. “At some point we got a cat so that I was forced to get up to give her food,” says Stefanie.
