How to apply a facial sauna correctly

Before you start with the first application, you should clean your face thoroughly and free from make-up remains. Regardless of what is in the instructions for use, it is advisable not to use the device for the first time. So you can slowly get your skin used to the treatment and find out how your face reacts to the water vapor. To start the facial sauna, it is best to read through the manufacturer’s instructions because each facial steamer works differently. Most devices have the following steps in common:

  1. Fill the face sauna with you (note the quantities), since most devices have no function for descaling and normal water would clog the nozzles.
  2. Set the device and wait until the cold water heats up (usually 30 seconds) and is converted into steam, which is supposed to escape from the glands of the facial sauna.
  3. Carry your face so close to the facial steamer that there is a distance of at least 20 centimeters between you and the device. Keep your eyes closed during use.
  4. Switch off the device after ten minutes and empty the water tank again. Then wash your face off with cold water to free the skin of excess valley remains.
  5. Let your face cool before it lubricate. Alternatively, you can also use a care mask to supply your skin with moisture.

And a few more tips at the end: As with every sauna, the following applies to the facial steamer: don’t overdo it. Do not use the device too often, preferably not more than twice a week in the summer months. In winter, the facial sauna should only be used for a maximum of once a week, which would otherwise dry out the skin too quickly.
