Russians can once again apply to the Lithuanian visa centers for a Schengen visa. This was announced on Wednesday, February 16, by the visa center of the republic.
“Starting from March 31, 2022, citizens can enter the territory of Lithuania with a valid Schengen visa and upon presentation of a negative PCR test (made no more than 72 hours before arrival in Lithuania) or a certificate of vaccination with a vaccine recognized in Lithuania. When submitting documents, the applicant must confirm that the entry into Lithuania will be no earlier than March 31, 2022, regardless of the purpose of the trip.
Pre-registration is required to apply.
Earlier, on February 10, Russian tourists vacationing in Turkey were allowed to travel by ferry to the Greek islands in the Aegean Sea. To enter the islands, Russians will need a negative PCR test result no older than 72 hours, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) said.
On February 6, the Greek authorities extended until February 22 permission to enter the country for up to 500 Russians a week. In addition to a PCR test taken up to 72 hours prior to arrival, a hotel voucher or other documents indicating their temporary residence in the country is required.
On November 19, 2021, the Slovenian Embassy in Russia resumed issuing all types of Schengen visas to Russians.
