At the second final Dahoam, Nußbach’s ladies are looking at the eleventh championship title

One would think that a state championship title for the women’s team from Union Haidlmair Nußbach is nothing special. In the past 13 game seasons in the hall and in the field, the Kremstal women have not let the gold medals hang around their neck in the field and are therefore Austria’s outstanding fistball team of this decade.

Nevertheless, title number eleven in the morning, Friday and on Saturday at 3 p.m. “Final 3” would be something very special for the team of the supervisor duo Marco Salzberger and Roland Lugerbauer. On the one hand, the Nussbach women recently missed the final round both in the field and in the hall. Above all, the final takes place for the second time after 2021 in Nußbach. And that should be a good omen: At that time Katharina Lackinger and Co celebrated their sixth title with a 4-1 win over Hallen-Champion Seekirchen.

The captain, who ended her career in the national team last year, is the linchpin of the Nussbacher. The stem five is complemented by the two team players Iris Mayr and Jasmin Kammerhuber in the defense and coaching woman Ines Salzberger, who also turned her back on the national team after the birth of her first child, and Theresa Gsöllpointner in attack. The latter only came from Salzburg to the Kremstal women this season.

“She is a doctor in the Steyr Hospital and an absolute enrichment for us,” says Salzberger, “she and Ines complement each other perfectly with the service and setback.”

For the time being, the Kremstal women in the Nussbach-Arena will take a seat on the 600 fans, where they were screwed yesterday. They are fixed in the final on Saturday at 3 p.m., while Grieskirchen and Freistadt have to duel on Friday for the second final place. “We don’t care who wins,” emphasizes Salzberger, “because all three teams are at eye level.” In spring there were just under 4: 3 and 4: 2 successes for the flawless Nussbach women.

At the men’s meeting in the Vöcklabruck and Froschberg semi-finals, Linz-Urfahr is waiting in the final on Saturday.
