Shift change: There is a risk of convoy traffic on Saturday

In the German federal states of Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland, in parts of the Netherlands and in the Czech Republic, one-week spring and winter holidays also begin on Saturday. When the weather is nice, there will also be many day skiers out and about.

The mobility clubs ÖAMTC and ARBÖ therefore warn of delays in weekend traffic. There is a particular threat of convoy traffic on the main connections such as the Westautobahn (A1), the Tauernautobahn (A10) in Salzburg, the Inntalautobahn (A12) and the Fernpass route (B179).

There could also be delays due to arrival and departure in the ski areas in Styria on the B320 in the Ennstal and in the Murau and Scheifling areas. In Upper Austria there are delays on the access roads to the ski areas in the Pyhrn region, in Salzburg on the B311 in the Salzach Valley and the B99 over the Radstädter Tauern, or in Tyrol especially on the B169 in the Zillertal and the B173 in the Kufstein-Söll area.
