Karl Lagerfeld’s luxury villa near Paris is auctioned

The fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld was already 81 years old when he bought a villa west of the French capital Paris. The native of Hamburg, who was chief designer of the French fashion house Chanel for years and was known for his extravagant fashion shows, had this rebuilt according to his ideas. Among other things, he had his former children’s room recovered: with Leopard Deadpaper and a picture of King Friedrich the Great in the ruffle.
