Bezos long wedding celebration came to an end with masked ball

The newlywed couple of around 200 prominent guests said goodbye to the ball on a former throwing site in Arsenale, a historic area from the heyday of the Republic of Venice.

This event – like the celebration on Friday evening on the island of San Giorgio in front of Markusplatz – was exclusively and strictly shielded. The guests were asked not to take photos or videos, as media reported. The final party was considered a tribute to the tradition of the Venetian carnival and the shine of the former Republic – with magnificent robes, striking wigs and dancers. The arsenale has been a several scene of spectacular carnival performances in recent years – with performances by artists directly on the water.

The menu of the dinner consisted exclusively of Venetian specialties, including Bigoli in salsa (thick pasta with anchovy sauce), squid in tomato sauce, which is indispensable for Venetians Baccalà (stockfish) and the dessert Tiramisù. The appearance of Lady Gaga and Elton John announced in advance remains a mystery – neither of them appeared. However, this is not said to have clouded the mood of the Bezos couple. Bezos and Sánchez reached the Arsenale by water taxi-they came from the seven-star hotel Aman, threw on spectacular kissing hands and delighted the waiting photographers with a kiss.
